Our Space

Shawbrook is home to dance studios, a theatre, an outdoor stage, forest walks and a range of on-site accommodation, including Forest Cabins all set within our 18th Century Traditional Irish Farmhouse in the Irish Midlands. You will have exclusive 24hr access to all our facilities while on residency.

BIG STUDIO with sprung, harlequin floor and mirrors

SMALL STUDIO with wooden floor. This studio can covert to a small black box theatre with excellent acoustics, and seating for 50 people. There is access to changing room, foyer and lavatories.

OUTDOOR FOREST STAGE with sprung floor and covering over-head. This can be used as a performance space which has room and sight-lines for up to 300 people. Access to mains for lighting and sound. Covered, secure technician box. Covered, secure dressing room. Stage size 6.8 x 6.8 meters Approx. 45 square meters

Forest Cabin - 1x Queen-size bed with electricity, eco-toilet nearby.

Forest Wagon - No electricity, eco-toilet nearby.

Summer House - cooking facilities and eating area. Caters for up to 30 people.

Meditation Tree House

Shawbrook Forest

Forest of oak, ash and beech trees on your doorstep. There are a series of signposted walks for you to enjoy. We also have an African style Boma for outdoor cooking and entertaining.
